Usher files for divorce??

Sources say Usher has filed divorce papers in Atlanta this morning. This is not the first time rumors have circulated that Usher and Tameka were heading towards splitsville, and now its been reported that they have been living apart for nearly a year. A source says, Usher's concern is his children, and he wants to do what is right for them. On a Kre-Note, Tameka is one of Celebrity Baby Talks favorite mommys, and I must say her interaction, or lack of on Twitter with Usher is what gave me the impression all wasn't right. I'm all for privacy, especially on Twitter, but even a simple hello to wifey on Twitter is harmless. Look at Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Ashton and Demi, and even Cocktail and Ray J, though she just admitted it was fake and for cameras since Ray J is on to season 2.

While Lil Wayne is rumored to be populating the world and trying to get the most Father's Day gifts, Jay-Z decides to wait a few years before he holds the father title. Jay recently brushed off rumors that he and Beyonce are starting a family, saying they will wait a few years, pay some bills, and continue touring and recording music. Jay is scheduled to tour with Ciara this year, and Bey is currently overseas in London on tour. Sources say Beyonce is usually down to earth, but the other day wanted a ride from her hotel to a department store that was across the street, because she did not want to walk in heels. They say she literally looked as if she was going on a long journey with her entourage, but soon as they took off, the ride was over and she was at her destination.

Lloyd says the split was amicable and no bad blood between he and Irv Gotti. Lloyds manager stated, Lloyd is appreciative of the opportunity that has been afforded him by The Inc, he feels it's time for him to move on and seek opportunities that will allow him to build and enhance his brand.

Breaking News: ATL Rapper Dolla Shot and Killed In L.A.

The man killed during a high-profile shooting at the Beverley Center in Beverley Hills, California today was Atlanta rapper Dolla, sources have confirmed with AllHipHop.com.

Dolla, born Roderick Anthony Burton II, hailed from East Atlanta and Los Angeles. He was signed to Akon’s Konvict Muzik imprint.

The rapper was shot and killed shortly after 3:00 PM near the La Cienga Boulevard entrance, after a fight between a group of individuals broke out.

Witnesses report that a woman was seen firing a handgun. Another source said a male suspect was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport as he attempted to board a flight.

Dolla was originally a member of Hip-Hop group Da Razkals Cru, before he landed a gig for Sean “Diddy” Combs as a model for Sean John.

Dolla had gained a buzz via his track "Who The Heck Is That?" which featured T-Pain and Tay Dizm.

The rapper was reportedly working on his debut solo album titled a Dolla & A Dream.

I came across this on one of my favorite people's blogs to read, Miss Xpose... I gotta say it gave me a little chuckle, thumbs up to Oprah.

Okay! Hopefully this stirs some debate on Missxpose’s blog today because I gotta know what you think!

So on Friday’s episode of Oprah, the talk show host, who is now a Twitter fan, wanted to address two issues brought on by Tweeples! One being if she rocks a hair weave! I of course thought she would say yes!

I know Oprah has a very nice bouncy thick hair, but I am almost certain that she occasionally wears a weave or a “half wig”! Oprah defended her hair and told her Tweet Fans that she does NOT wear a weave! “This is not a weave, this is my hair,” Winfrey announced, before putting up a photo of herself with pre-pressed and pre-curled hair. Best friend and Friday co-host Gayle King yelled “Yowzer!”

How did you meet?

I met her after one of her performances at the Chop Shop in Miami. It was about 3:30am. I was with two of my boys and she was with a whole entourage walking toward us across the street. Then she waved me toward her. “Do you have a pen?” she asked. I was like “Nah, to be honest, I really just think you’re sexy and wanted to meet you”. We both laughed. We spoke for about 5 minutes and then she said “What are you about to do?” I was like “Nothing, just chillin”. She said “What’s your number? You should come through my after party”. I was like bet, then I gave it to her. She said the number she calls from will be blocked. She called me like 20 minutes later with the location and the room numbers of the hotel. She was really nice.

How was she in bed?
So Me & my 2 boys go to the party. It’s was a bunch of people going in and out between about 4-5 rooms. Drinking, Smoking, Everything. We sat & talked until like 5:30 when everybody started leaving. I texted my boys saying “I’m gonna stay, I’ll holla at ya’ll”. When it was only us two in the room. She was like “So you think I’m sexy huh? That day, I would consider myself a groupie, because I wouldn’t have allowed all that abuse with someone else LOL. But It’s not like out go out on a search for celebs.

Shortly after that I seen that picture I was like..."WTF MATE!" I don't know what here issue is. I did read and come up on this picture at Miss Xpose's site and she was talking about a tweet she saw from Diddy...

Well, I was in for a big surprise. Cassie went for more of a ROCK star look and she’s loving it. Apparently, Diddy does too. Diddy twitted “I Love when people say f%#ck the world and take risks, shout at to Cassie Ventura…”!

Oprah isn’t having to much luck with her school in Africa. Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls has been rocked by a second sex scandal in less than two years. UNREAL! A girl who is only 15 years old was found guilty of preying on other students and forcing girls to lie to investigators about it. “You have been found guilty of physical contact of a sexual nature with another pupil on campus, harassment, bullying other girls on campus and of being dishonest by not telling investigators the whole truth,” a letter to her parents read.

Other girls were “caught fondling each other or trying to get other girls to join them in lesbian liaisons”. Seven students were suspended last week Lisa Halliday, Oprah’s spokesperson, confirmed. “It is because they contravened the school’s code of conduct. We regard the incident as confidential,” the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.

This horrible incident is jus two years after a female school staffer was accused of physically and sexually abusing students in late 2007.

The small wedding ceremony took place at the actor's home in Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos.

Also present among the small group of guests were Moore and Willis's daughters, Rumer Willis, 20, Scout, 17, and Tallullah Belle, 15.

The wedding coincided with Willis's birthday: The actor turned 54 on Thursday. Heming is 32.

The couple, who met through mutual friends, have been together for more than a year and will be having a civil ceremony when they return to California, according to the actor's rep.

LAPD cops interviewed Rihanna after the attack and she told them Brown had been violent toward her in the past and that the attacks were getting "more violent" as time went on.

And the Enquirer, via Media Take Out, says a source told them this...

Rihanna read a three-page text message on Brown's phone from a woman. An argument ensued and Brown allegedly tried forcing Rihanna out of the car but couldn't because she was wearing her seat belt. Brown then allegedly shoved Rihanna's head against the passenger window. When Rihanna turned to face him, Brown punched her, then continued punching her while driving. Blood spattered all over Rihanna's clothing and in the interior of the car. Her mouth was filled with blood.
Brown allegedly told Rihanna, "I'm going to beat the **** out of you when we get home. You wait and see."Rihanna called her assistant and left a message saying, "I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there."Brown then replied, "You just did the stupidest thing ever. I'm going to kill you." If Miley Cyrus was hoping to make peace with those she offended with this photo, she missed the mark with her statement today.

“The picture is offensive and now this statement is inadequate.” George Wu, Executive Director of the OCA, an Asian-American equality group tells Celebuzz.

“It’s not a real apology. We’re not backing down without a fuller apology," Wu said.

Cyrus took to her official website to explain the photos Thursday.

“I've...been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces!" Cyrus wrote, "well, I'm sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong and out of context!"

The Hannah Montana star went on to deny any intentional racial insensitivity in relation to the photo, avowing, "In no way was I making fun of any ethnicity!"

Wu also criticized the use of "goofy" in the statement

“The 'goofy' is even a more unfortunate choice of words,” said Wu.

Karen Narasaki, president of the Asian American Justice Center calls Miley’s statement “disappointing.”

“It sounds like Ms. Cyrus doesn’t understand the pain felt by those of us who grew up being taunted by insensitive people making fun of our ethnicity by making exactly these kinds of faces and gesture,” said Narasaki.

In a new interview in Glamour UK, singer Lily Allen confesses that she cut back on her booze consumption after she had to Google herself to find out how she got home after a night of hard partying.

"I don't remember what happened. I woke up the next day and there was a party at my house," the songbird—whose previous party-positive attitude is a matter of public record—says in the March issue.

"[British record producer] Mark Ronson, [comedian] Alan Carr and [radio presenter] Jonathan Ross had been there because Alfie [Lily's brother] had brought them back. But I'd passed out in bed and saw my Glamour award (Allen won the the special Editor's Award at the Glamour UK Awards last year) on the floor and thought, 'How did I get home?' I Googled myself."

The British songstress, whose new single "The Fear" is currently topping the charts in the UK, says that this was the incident which caused her to cut down on her alcohol consumption. This doesn't mean that Lily's completely developed a sober persona. At least, if some of her recent wardrobe choices are any indication.

A bakery owner in Greenwich Village, NY was selling a cookie called “Drunken Negro Face” cookies which was supposedly in honor of our first black president, Barack Obama. Ted Kefalinos, the owner of Lafayette French Pastry, said he didn’t see anything offensive about the cookies. After the news broadcasted the story and customers called him with death threats, he apologized to his community for selling the racist cookies.

“Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, it was an innocent design that I created and it was nothing more than just a piece of art,” he told the local Fox News affiliate. I don’t believe he is sincere!

Molly Ringwald, who plays the anxious mother of a pregnant teen on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, is expecting twins of her own, the actress tells PEOPLE exclusively.

It will be the second daughter and first son for Ringwald, 40, and husband Panio Gianopoulos, 33. They have a 5-year-old daughter Mathilda Ereni. The babies are due in August.

Secret Life's second season airs on Monday nights on ABC Family. A spokeswoman for the show says Ringwald's pregnancy will be written into the storyline.

Her pregnancy came as exciting news on the set, says Shailene Woodley, who plays Ringwald's daughter on the show.

"Molly's first child is so gorgeous!" Woodley says. "She's got the dark hair like her Greek dad but she's got Molly's beautiful features. Whenever she brings Mathilda to the set, everybody's happy."

Ringwald starred in such teen classics as Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, and Sixteen Candles.

Two prominent Bahamian citizens and a paramedic were detained in the Bahamas in an alleged extortion scheme targeting John Travolta following the death of his son, according to reports.

Pleasant Bridgewater, an island attorney and lawmaker, has been held for questioning since Thursday, and ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne was being detained on Friday, the Associated Press reports.

Obie Wilchcombe, the island's former Minister of Tourism and a friend of the Travoltas, was also arrested but later released, according to TMZ.com.

Police did not disclose the exact nature of the alleged plot. But Lightbourne was quoted in tabloid reports about trying to revive Travolta's son, 16-year-old Jett, who died at the family's vacation home in Grand Bahama.

Wilchcombe spoke on Larry King Live about how the Travoltas were coping with the death.

"It's more important for us to make time to see each other during the year," the actress tells Redbook of her husband, director Bart Freundlich. "We don't schedule it, but we make an effort to have some time alone."

The couple, who have been together 12 years and married five, are raising their kids, Caleb, 11, and Liv, 6, in New York City.

A typical day at home involves dinner, homework and bath time. "They're allowed to watch TV only on weekends," she says.

The actress is also candid about Hollywood's obsession to weight. "Of course, I diet for roles; everyone does," she tells the magazine, which hits newsstands Jan. 27.

As for turning older? "When you're younger, you're always working for something, and now you realize, this is really it," says Moore, 48. "You'd better be enjoying this, because this is pretty good."

Dr. Jan Adams--the man who performed plastic surgery on Kanye West's mother Donda, shortly before she died--has been jailed for a year for drunken driving.

Adams pleaded guilty to the charge last year, after he drove his car the wrong way on Interstate 680. His blood alcohol level was .20 percent, reports the Associated Press.

When he performed West's surgery, the Medical Board Of California were seeking to remove his license to practice because of multiple alcohol-related arrests. There were also two malpractice judgments against him.

West died a day after having surgery for a breast reduction, tummy tuck, and liposuction. The autopsy cited heart disease and complications that arose from the surgery as the cause of death.

Erartha Kitt passes @ 81 years of age

Eartha Kitt, a sultry singer, dancer and actress who rose from South Carolina cotton fields to become an international symbol of elegance and sensuality, has died, a family spokesman said. She was 81.

Andrew Freedman said Kitt, who was recently treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, died today (Dec. 25) in Connecticut of colon cancer.

Kitt, a self-proclaimed "sex kitten" famous for her catlike purr, was one of America's most versatile performers, winning two Emmys and nabbing a third nomination. She also was nominated for several Tonys and two Grammys.

Her career spanned six decades, from her start as a dancer with the famed Katherine Dunham troupe to cabarets and acting and singing on stage, in movies and on television. She persevered through an unhappy childhood as a mixed-race daughter of the South and made headlines in the 1960s for denouncing the Vietnam War during a visit to the White House.

Through the years, Kitt remained a picture of vitality and attracted fans less than half her age even as she neared 80. When her book "Rejuvenate," a guide to staying physically fit, was published in 2001, Kitt was featured on the cover in a long, curve-hugging black dress with a figure that some 20-year-old women would envy. Kitt also wrote three autobiographies.

Once dubbed the "most exciting woman in the world" by Orson Welles, she spent much of her life single, though brief romances with the rich and famous peppered her younger years.

After becoming a hit singing "Monotonous" in the Broadway revue "New Faces of 1952," Kitt appeared in "Mrs. Patterson" in 1954-55. (Some references say she earned a Tony nomination for "Mrs. Patterson," but only winners were publicly announced at that time.) She also made appearances in "Shinbone Alley" and "The Owl and the Pussycat."

Her first album, "RCA Victor Presents Eartha Kitt," came out in 1954, featuring such songs as "I Want to Be Evil," "C'est Si Bon" and the saucy gold digger's theme song "Santa Baby," which is revived on radio each Christmas.

The next year, the record company released the follow-up album "That Bad Eartha," which featured "Let's Do It," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" and "My Heart Belongs to Daddy."

In 1996, she was nominated for a Grammy in the category of traditional pop vocal performance for her album "Back in Business." She also had been nominated in the children's recording category for the 1969 record "Folk Tales of the Tribes of Africa."

Kitt also acted in movies, playing the lead female role opposite Nat King Cole in "St. Louis Blues" in 1958 and more recently appearing in "Boomerang" and "Harriet the Spy" in the 1990s.

On television, she was the sexy Catwoman on the popular "Batman" series in 1967-68, replacing Julie Newmar who originated the role. A guest appearance on an episode of "I Spy" brought Kitt an Emmy nomination in 1966.

Kitt was plainspoken about causes she believed in. Her anti-war comments at the White House came as she attended a White House luncheon hosted by Lady Bird Johnson. "You send the best of this country off to be shot and maimed," she told the group of about 50 women. "They rebel in the street. They don't want to go to school because they're going to be snatched off from their mothers to be shot in Vietnam."

In 1978, Kitt returned to Broadway in the musical "Timbuktu!" - which brought her a Tony nomination -- and was invited back to the White House by President Jimmy Carter. In 2000, Kitt earned another Tony nod for "The Wild Party." She played the fairy godmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella" in 2002.

As recently as October 2003, she was on Broadway after replacing Chita Rivera in a revival of "Nine." She also gained new fans as the voice of Yzma in the 2000 Disney animated feature "The Emperor's New Groove.'"

Kitt was born in North, S.C., and her road to fame was the stuff of storybooks. In her autobiography, she wrote that her mother was black and Cherokee while her father was white, and she was left to live with relatives after her mother's new husband objected to taking in a mixed-race girl.

An aunt eventually brought her to live in New York, where she attended the High School of Performing Arts, later dropping out to take various odd jobs. By chance, she dropped by an audition for the dance group run by Dunham, a pioneering African-American dancer. In 1946, Kitt was one of the Sans-Souci Singers in Dunham's Broadway production "Bal Negre."

Kitt's travels with the Dunham troupe landed her a gig in a Paris nightclub in the early 1950s. Kitt was spotted by Welles, who cast her in his Paris stage production of "Faust." That led to a role in "New Faces of 1952," which featured such other stars-to-be as Carol Lawrence, Paul Lynde and, as a writer, Mel Brooks.

While traveling the world as a dancer and singer in the 1950s, Kitt learned to perform in nearly a dozen languages and, over time, added songs in French, Spanish and even Turkish to her repertoire. "Usku Dara," a song Kitt said was taught to her by the wife of a Turkish admiral, was one of her first hits, though Kitt says her record company feared it too remote for American audiences to appreciate.

While on stage, she was daringly sexy and always flirtatious. Offstage, however, Kitt described herself as shy and almost reclusive, remnants of feeling unwanted and unloved as a child. She referred to herself as "that little urchin cotton-picker from the South, Eartha Mae."

For years, Kitt was unsure of her birthplace or birth date. In 1997, a group of students at historically black Benedict College in Columbia, S.C., located her birth certificate, which verified her birth date as Jan. 17, 1927. Kitt had previously celebrated on Jan. 26.

The research into her background also showed Kitt was the daughter of a white man, a poor cotton farmer. "I'm an orphan. But the public has adopted me and that has been my only family," she told the Post online. "The biggest family in the world is my fans."

Dang! Things ain’t lookin’ to good for Chingy! The St. Louis rapper supposedly was dropped from DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace)/Def Jam Records! I heard the rumor awhile ago, but it became official when Chingy’s name was no longer listed on Def Jam’s Official website.

As you may recall, Chingy left DTP in 2004 after he claimed his money was a lil funny and was being mismanaged. Then he released two album entitled “Powerballin” and “Hoodstar” under Capitol Records and both album went double PLASTIC!

Chingy wanted to revive his career, and knew he need Ludacris and the DTP family to make that happen. So in 2007 he released Hate It or Love It and it still suffered low sales.

Michael Jackson sounds like he's may or may not be sickly

So many rumors are being spread about the state of Michael Jackson’s health. Reality is, he does look a bit scary in his recent pics, but we’ve never got confirmation that he was deathly ill. His spokesperson says Mijac is just fine! The UK Sun caused a stir by saying “He (Mijac) needs a lung transplant, but may be too weak to go through with it. He also has emphysema and chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, which his doctors have had a lot of trouble stopping. It’s the bleeding that’s the most problematic part. It could kill him.” The Insider posted a pic of Mike being pushed in wheelchair after browsing through children’s books in Barnes & Nobles in Vegas. Mike Lopez, the photographer who took the pics said Mijac looked “really frail”. Well, despite all the rumors, Michael Jackson’s spokesperson said that he is in “fine health”.

“Mr. Jackson is in fine health, and finalizing negotiations with a major entertainment company & television network for both a world tour and a series of specials and appearances,” said Dr. Tohme Tohme, identified as Jackson’s “official and sole spokesperson.”

TERMANOLOGY - SPIN MAGAZINE "BREAKING OUT" FEATURE

Walk down Canal Street under the shadow of the Manhattan Bridge and you'll see people lining up for the Fung Wah bus. Originally a cheap way for Asian immigrants to commute between new York's and Boston's Chinatowns ($15 a ride), it's now often used by frugal locals, students, and in the case of 26-year-old Termanology, fledgling rappers juggling the demands of a career and family. For the past couple of years, the Lawrence, Massachusetts–based MC has made that trip sometimes five times a week to record in new York and then, hours later, be back home to manage his label, ST. Records, and visit his four-year-old daughter. "I've been on the Fung Wah bus more than any person ever in America," he says. "I'll put money on that."

Born Daniel Carrillo, Termanology first caught the attention of the hip-hoperati with the 2006 single "Watch how It Go Down." the track, which features a DJ Premier scratch-infused beat, had term close to signing with a few major labels -- deals that fizzled after he was unwilling to write more pop-friendly tracks. Instead of throwing together a mix tape, term focused on collecting beats from Easy Mo Bee, Large Professor, and Pete Rock (producers featured on classic debuts like Illmatic and Ready to Die) for a proper album. Being associated with DJ Premier helped him land coveted gigs and radio play. "I've come out of opening for Fat Joe, 50 Cent, I've been on tour with Q-tip and Common, and got right back on that bus," says termanology. "It's real tiring."

The result of those four-hour rides is Politics as Usual (ST. Records/Nature Sounds). Featuring Bun B, Prodigy, and Freeway, the album chronicles term's life growing up in Lawrence -- a former industrial town ravaged by the '80s crack epidemic -- and showcases his fast-paced flow, reminiscent of the late Big Pun's. Term, who is half Puerto Rican, half French-Canadian, doesn't mind that comparison, but offers another on "The Chosen": "I'm like what Eminem would've been like if he would have been a spic."

"I just feel like I'm such a good rapper and I'm so fierce," says Termanology. "Hopefully, one day I'll be able to do a song like [Eminem's anti-Bush screed] 'Mosh.' they better assassinate me, because I'm fittin' to say some shit."

FAST FACTS: -- Termanology first met DJ Premier at a Gang Starr video shoot in 2003. Term handed him a demo, earning himself a cameo in the video. -- He's finishing a tour with Redman and Method Man. Next up is an album with Lil Fame of M.O.P., who's on the Politics track "In the Streets."

T-Boz loses home to foreclosure

T-Boz -- she's the T in TLC -- is about to lose a Georgia house after failing to pony up her mortgage payments.

We've learned a five-bedroom, nearly 10,000-sq. ft. house owned by T-Boz (real name: Tionne Watkins-Rolison) is about to go on the auction block in January 2009. According to public records, she's defaulted on the original principal of her mortgage (around $530K), and so now the state is taking it.

T-Boz wasn't immediately available for comment.

How impressive! J Records debut R&B artist Jazmine Sullivan has been nominated for five (5) Grammys! The Philly songstress solo debut “Fearless” garnered honors for Best New Artist, Best Contemporary R&B Album, Best Female R&B Vocal, Best Traditional R&B Vocal.

Sullivan, who signed her first record deal when she was 16, has worked with Philly’s grassroots soul artist Kindred The Family Soul and production duo Dre & Vidal, penning hits such as “Say I” for Christina Milian. Sullivan admits she’s ecstatic to finally be recognized by her peers.

“Honestly, one nomination would have been enough,” says the 21-year-old singer and songwriter. “But it feels wonderful that all my hard work and struggle has finally paid off. Hopefully, this will make people more aware of my music. When I work, it’s really not a game, I come hard and [remain] focused so I can become a household name.”

She recently wrapped a 25-city tour as Maxwell’s opening act for the last two months.

The 40-year-old Hollywood actress tells the magazine that she feels more comfortable today than she did in her twenties or early thirties.

"I'm healthier," Aniston is quoted as saying. "I'm more at peace in my mind and with my body."

The actress says the continues to maintain contact with her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, who left her for actress Angelina Jolie.

"When there's something to congratulate or celebrate, there's always an exchange," she says.

But Aniston denies having conversations with Jolie.

She also denies tabloid media report that she plans to have a baby.

The AP reports that Toni Braxton had a good reason for not dancing on the finale of “Dancing With the Stars” last month: The 41-year-old singer says she had a benign tumor removed from her breast the week before.

“We have family history. My grandmother on my dad’s side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer”, she says. “I was worried about what they would find,” the 41-year-old Grammy winner says. “But it was benign.”

Doctors discovered the lump in August, but decided not to proceed with treatement at that time. It “was definitely still there and bigger,” she says. “I was very fortunate. Cancer knows no race, no creed, no color.”

Why did you choose to become a parent via surrogate?

O.J. Simpson has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, with consecutive terms that could extend his time behind bars 2½ years or more.

A Las Vegas jury had found the former gridiron star, 61, guilty of armed robbery and kidnapping on Oct. 3 – 13 years to the day after his acquittal in the so-called trial of the century for the 1994 murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles.

The conviction that led to Friday's sentencing resulted from a six-minute incident in 2007 that took place in a down-market Las Vegas hotel room, where Simpson struggled with two sports memorabilia dealers over items that Simpson claimed were his possessions.

Simpson remained calm while his tough sentence was delivered by Nevada judge Jackie Glass. The judge stressed that she was not sentencing him for any previous actions besides those for which he was currently on trial – an obvious reference to the deaths of Brown and Goldman.

The judge added that she respected the decision of the jury in the current case. "The problem is that I can't ignore that the behavior at the time ... was reckless ... A gun was used ... property was stolen ... and now I will sentence you," Judge Glass said.

Simpson – who made a disjointed statement to the court apologizing for his actions, but denying he knew they were illegal – was denied bail and was led from the courtroom in dark blue prison attire.

Speaking outside the courthouse, Fred Goldman, the father of Ron Goldman said, "There's never closure, Ron is always gone, but what we have is satisfaction that this monster is behind bars where he belongs."

Neither Simpson nor his co-defendant and former golfing buddy, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, testified at the Las Vegas trial. Simpson's lawyer, Yale Galanter, argued that investigators targeted Simpson and filed overblown charges and that there was no criminal intent.

The morning wedding between Rich, 34, one half of the duo Big & Rich and host of CMT’s Gone Country, and Bush, a former model who runs a Houston modeling agency, was attended by about two dozen family members.

A reception for friends was held at Nashville’s Fontanel Mansion, former home of singer Barbara Mandrell, and also a location for the taping of Gone Country.

Rich and Bush have been dating for more than five years, but have kept their relationship under the radar, not appearing together at official events or on red carpets, says a source familiar with the couple.

Lil Wayne to make a rock album next

Normally I don't care about what his mumbling ass is doing buuuuuuuuuut this is kind of a big deal since he's going all crazy with it. Kim Osorio dropped this bit of knowledge.

Lil' Wayne will not be rapping on his next album. Though we have seen many rap artists transition from rapping to singing (Kanye being the most recent example), Wayne's upcoming 2009 release will be a Rock and Roll album, he says.

"This is going to be totally rock," Lil' Wayne responds during an interview that was leaked online last week. Seated in front of a soundboard at the Hit Factory in Miami, Wayne talked to Ozone Magazine's Julia Beverly while holding his electric guitar. Weezy stated that he did not yet have a title for the upcoming Rock album.

With his recent performance earlier this month at the Country Music Awards alongside Kid Rock, Lil' Wayne has showed his commitment to growing as an artist outside of Rap. When asked whether he felt as though he had accomplished everything he could in hip-hop, Weezy said, "I haven't accomplished everything I can accomplish, but I have accomplished a whole lot."

In the interview, Lil' Wayne also acknowledged that 2008 was a big year for him, because of the birth of his son. After being asked whether he was surprised about the industry's reaction to the new addition to his family, Wayne shrugged it off. "I don't even know how they reacted, I never pay attention to people's reactions...It's a kid, so who cares about what anybody thinks."

John Forte and others pardoned by Bush

Fugee affiliate John Forte is reportedly one of 16 people who have received a reduced sentence or a pardon from US President George Bush. Do ya’ll remember him? He was on Wyclef and Pras’ hit single “Stayin’ Alive”… As you may recall, Forte was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being caught with two briefcases filled with $1.4 million worth of liquid cocaine at Newark International Airport in 2000. Crazy right!

Forte wrote, produced and appeared on The Fugee’s multi-platinum and Grammy-winning 1996 album, The Score. He also released two solo albums, Poly Sci and I, John.

According to The Washington Post, Forte will be released from jail on December 22nd and will face five years of supervised probation. Senator Orrin Hatch, singer Carly Simon and her son James, were among the people who advocated for Forte’s release.

“Now is the perfect opportunity for John to be given the chance to provide positive benefits to society through his considerable musical talents,” Hatch wrote to Bush in a January 2007 letter. Forte was one of two inmates who received reduced sentences. Bush pardoned 14 others.

Michael Vick apparently can snitch as quick as he could juke

Former Altanta Falcons star, Mike Vick, was in a Virginia court room Tuesday (yesterday) and entered his guilty plea in an effort to get an early release. He is currently serving a 23-month jail sentence in Leavenworth, Kansas for the federal offense and could be released to a federal halfway house in July.

As you may recall, Vick is serving a prison sentence for federal dogfighting charges. Without the resolution of the state charges, Vick would not have been eligible for release to a halfway house.

I love animals, and no offense to PETA, I just feel this is just a bit too much. There are people out there who committed far more worse crimes and recieve a slap on the wrist…and this dude may be released to a half way house! Jeez!
In the federal plea, the former Pro Bowl selection did not admit to killing any dogs personally or gambling on the fights. The summary of facts accompanying the original plea agreement said Vick was aware four dogs were killed in 2002 and six to eight dogs were killed in April 2007 as a result of the “collective efforts” of Vick and two of his co-defendants.

I came across this recent but strange story... I felt I had to share it cause it's quite bizarre but I must give a big ass kudos to BBC for not playing around here.

A BBC Radio presenter has been sacked following a 'racist' call to a taxi firm, in which she requested a 'non-Asian' driver.

Sam Mason told the operator that 'a guy with a turban would freak her daughter out' insisting they send an English driver instead.

The ex-glamour girl, 40, called the firm to order a taxi for her 14-year-old daughter off-air, while presenting her BBC Bristol radio show.

After the operator branded her request 'racist', Mason insisted, claiming it wasn't the first time she had made the request.

She said: 'A guy with a turban is going to freak her out. She's not used to Asians.'

When the operator said it would not be possible to carry out her wishes, she said: 'You've managed it before.'

Mason, who has previously battled alcohol addiction, claimed she wasn't racist but insisted she was looking out for her daughter's interest.

Mason said: 'If it were me I wouldn't care if it had two heads, but it's my little girl we are talking about.'

After the operator refused to book a car, Mason complained before hanging up.

The operator said: 'We would class that as being racist. We can't just penalise the Asian drivers and just send an English one.'

She later called back before a manager accepted the booking.

Mason said: 'I work at the BBC. I'm far from racist and that uneducated woman has no right to call me one.'

The BBC were alerted to the conversation after it was recorded and sent to the Sun newspaper.

The mother-of-one was subsequently suspended and fired 24 hours later.

A BBC spokesman said: 'Although Sam Mason's remarks were not made on-air, her comments were completely unacceptable and, for that reason, she has been informed that she will no longer be working for the BBC with immediate effect.'

Suge Knight wants his damn earring back now!

A recently bankrupt Suge Knight is apparently trying to sue anyone he can by claiming they caused him to lose his insanely expensive earrings. Of course, the thought that maybe he's in bankruptcy court because his earwear cost more than a small house is completely lost on him. TMZ reports and, if I'm reading this right, calls Suge Knight a prison bitch:

Suge claims in his U.S. Bankruptcy case that while he was in custody back in 2005, he was passed around like a $2 whore -- from Barstow police to the West Valley Detention Center to the California Institution for Men.
Somewhere along the way, Suge says his diamond stud earring was stolen.
Interesting, because Suge just filed a lawsuit against Kanye West, claiming West was responsible for another Suge earring heist. When Kanye was hosting a party in 2005, Suge was shot and his $135,000 earring was allegedly pilfered off his bleeding body.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Kate Winslet is angry over claims that photos of the actress on the cover of Vanity Fair have been significantly digitally altered.

"Kate is furious at suggestions that her body has been airbrushed," a rep for the star of the upcoming "Revolutionary Road" told People.

On the cover of the magazine, Kate appears nude, with her legs crossed and nothing but a trench coat on her shoulders. Inside the pages, she is pictured in hosiery and stilettos only.

Britain's Telegraph newspaper and the Daily Mail both questioned whether the star had been photoshopped, with the latter paper calling in an expert in digital photo imaging to examine the shots.

According to the expert, wrinkles have been removed from her face, hands and feet.

In the magazine, Kate said her skin is far from perfect, but she has been able to hide her flaws through the use of makeup.

"Mothers [at my children's' school] are going to read this article and they're all absolutely great, but I know when I walk into that classroom in the morning, even if it's for a split second, at some point I'm being checked out. And some of them will even say to me, 'OK, what's the secret with the skin?' At which point I'm like, 'Oh my God, there's no secret. I have makeup on,'" Kate told the magazine. "And by the way, since I turned 30, I've had an acne problem on my chin. I'm just like everybody else--I just know how to cover it. If you'd like me to show you how, I'd be more than happy."

And it appears a rep for the magazine confirmed Kate had some flaws erased.

"Kate really did look fabulous and hardly needed any retouching at all," a Vanity Fair rep reportedly told the Mail. "Just a little smoothing of the skin tone and covering of blemishes."

The Daily Mirror's expert, however, also claims Kate's "back and lower body have been pinched to make her look thinner and give her some curves."

But it is the suggestion that her body has been changed that her rep strongly denied.

"She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots," Kate's rep told People.

In 2003, Kate herself sparked a photo-editing controversy, when she apologized to her fans after her physique appeared noticeably thinner on the cover of GQ magazine.

"I don't want people to think I was a hypocrite and had suddenly gone and lost 30 pounds, which is something I would never do. And more importantly I don't want to look like that," she said at the time.

The footage showed Marie Huertas, 85, wearing a full black balaclava and, after repeated instructions, uttering a number of gangsta rap phrases that included expletives.

A sheriff's report said Alfinez had admitted dressing up his grandmother and persuading her to flash a gun and money at the camera.

Alfinez said he got the idea from a Gangstas & Thugs DVD - which show real footage rather younger hoodlums in action - and "knew (his) grandmother could be like that, too, or better".

Beatles are down to be on Rock Band

It looks like the Beatles are coming to top-selling video game "Rock Band."

The Beatles' Apple Corps Ltd. and MTV have scheduled a press teleconference tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. ET to announce "an exclusive agreement to develop a global music project."

Although the announcement does not offer details on the agreement, representatives for the Beatles have been talking to MTV's "Rock Band" team for months.

If a deal is signed, "Rock Band" will have secured two of the top-selling catalog bands of all time for versions of the game. AC/DC recently became the subject of a "Rock Band Track Pack," featuring 18 live versions of hits like "Thunderstruck and "Back in Black." The title, like the band's new album, "Black Ice," is a Wal-Mart exclusive.

Both AC/DC and the Beatles remain absent from digital music services,
including the iTunes Music Store, AmazonMP3 and others.

MTV declined to comment.

Singer El DeBarge has been arrested, without bail, for possession of a controlled substance. TMZ reported that the founder of the legendary group DeBarge- which included his siblings Mark, James, Randy, and Bunny- was caught earlier this month in Los Angeles. He was arrested after cops noticed he had two warrants out for his arrest. Last year, El, real name Patrick Eldra DeBarge, was charged with everything from drugs, and vandalism, to domestic violence. He is set to appear in court today.

Back Again: Jackson 5 to Reunite next year

The Jackson 5 will reunite in 2009, brother Jermaine Jackson confirmed today (Oct. 29) at a TV industry function in Sydney.

Jackson is in Australia to help launch a new "greatest hits" TV channel for paynet Foxtel and confirmed the rumors at the event.

"This has been a long time coming for the Jackson family to get back together," he told the Australian Associated Press.

"It is just the timing, so what we've been doing is working on the music and all the logistics. It is going to be more like a family affair, Janet's going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5 ... Michael, Randy and the whole family ... We're in the studio, we're planning on being out there next year."

The Jacksons received a lifetime achievement award from BMI in early September in Los Angeles, but brother Marlon made no secret of his displeasure with Michael's absence at the ceremony.

Asked where Jackson was, he told the Associated Press, "I don't know. I think he's in Egypt riding a camel or something."

The Jacksons rose to fame in the late '60s recording for Motown. Brother Michael had become a solo star by the late '70s, although he remained in the group through the 1984 album "Victory." One last release, 1989's "2300 Jackson Street," featured limited involvement by him and Marlon.

Let me say this... I fully agree with all that they have to say. I will say some of the claims like about Gillie I'm not sure but I agree with the opinion on Wayne.

Well hip-hop here is your new classic poster child and representation of what hip-hop has become. A brother who has lost his identity and deals with it by trying to hide himself in syrup. BET named him lyricist of the year over T.I., Jay-Z,Common and NAS. WTF??? Everybody knows that he was not lyrical until Gillie da kid started writing for him and Wayne started studying Jay-Z's style. Call us haters but the truth of the matter is he got a long way to go before he can be classified as lyricist of the year. Did you guys hear Nas's new album? Word on the streets is Wayne has a brand new baby and that's not all. The baby is not with his new engagee Nivea or his ex wife. The word on the streets is it's a jump off. Not that we care but hey it's news and everybody else is talking about it so we wanted to add our 3 cents worth.

Note: You may call us some haters on Wayne but there is a difference between lyricism and delivery. To many people got caught up in his delivery and his production on the album was crazy but he really wasn't talking about nothing. We will see what the revision of the Carter III brings out with all new songs that he will dropping soon.

Jennifer Hudson's family suffers a tragedy

The mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress and rising music star Jennifer Hudson were found shot to death in the mother's Chicago home on today (Oct. 24), according to reports.

The Chicago Tribune said one of the victims was Hudson's mother, Darnell Donnerson. The entertainment website TMZ, citing a neighbor, said Hudson's brother Jason also was found dead.

A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies, TMZ said. The Tribune, quoting police, said the killings may be linked to a domestic disturbance.

The Chicago Police Department confirmed two people were found shot to death at the residence and said it was "being investigated as a homicide." But police did not release the identities of the victims or other details.

Other media reports said a 7-year-old boy, also a family member, was taken from the scene and that police had issued an alert for him.

Hudson won an Academy Award for her role in "Dreamgirls." Her self-titled debut album for Arista was released last month, and its single, "Spotlight," is No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

Chad Kroeger laughs when asked if the phenomenal sales for 2005's "All the Right Reasons" gave confidence to Nickelback as it set out to make its sixth studio album, "Dark Horse."

"No, because look what we have to try to live up to," says Kroeger, who co-founded the quartet in 1995 in Alberta, Canada. "There's a mountain sitting behind us. We've got to try and put something out now that's going to stand up to that. So for us, the bar has been raised ridiculously high."

"Dark Horse," which comes out Nov. 18 on Roadrunner and was co-produced by Mutt Lange, certainly has a target to clear. Buoyed by seven multiformat hit singles and five No. 1 videos-and apparently unaffected by widespread critical drubbing-"All the Right Reasons" has sold 10 million copies worldwide, according to Roadrunner, and spent a staggering 110 consecutive weeks in the top 30 of the Billboard 200. It fell off the chart Oct. 11 after a 156-week run, the longest registered in 11 years.

"All the Right Reasons" also took off in a big way this summer in Europe, meaning Kroeger and his bandmates-brother and bassist Mike Kroeger, guitarist Ryan Peake and drummer Daniel Adair-were multitasking across two continents as they recorded "Dark Horse" and promoted its predecessor.

"We've never left the previous album cycle," Roadrunner president Jonas Nachsin says. "That's got to be a seriously positive sign going into a new one. It's become such a monster to try to put our arms around, we're just doing the best we can to guide it into fruition at this point."

Terrence Howard is no longer Rhodey for Iron Man 2

Bringing comic book characters and their stories to life seems to have been resurrected as a screenplay alternative. It’s not hard to imagine why Hollywood seems to be turning to comic books as plot and character sources, given the huge successes registered by the comic-to-screen transitions of Superman, Batman, Spiderman and the like.

Iron Man was one of the latest screen adaptations of a comic book. The main character, Iron Man, is a rich man who gets kidnapped in order to build a destructive weapon. He suffers a heart injury and instead makes a power suit, which saves his life and enables him to continue living as a superhero. In the first adaptation, he was brilliantly portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., part of a breath-taking cast which also included Terence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow and Paul Bettany.

Terrence Howard played the part of Rhodey, Iron Man’s link between his own company, Stark Industries, and the military acquisitions department. Although his performance was widely acclaimed, Marvel Studios decided to replace him in Iron Man 2 with Don Cheadle (“Ocean’s” series, “Hotel Rwanda”, “Crash”, “Swordfish”, and “Traffic”). Howard says the change was sprung on him without any kind of explanation.

The other party, namely Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios President of Production, refused to comment on the event, which prompts us to believe that Howard was indeed faced with the decision without any clarification. He did, however, say that rumors are common in showbiz, but that doesn’t account for the fact that Howard doesn’t have a contract with Marvel anymore.

Slash's new album is going to be a free situation for him

A solo album or the third Velvet Revolver album -- or possibly both -- are on Slash's docket for 2009. The guitarist tells Billboard.com that he's "at the very tail end of the demo phase" for the solo project, which he hopes to start recording early next year.

He began coming up with material during Velvet Revolver's last tour and says that while it will have references to his work with that band and Guns N' Roses, "there's really no particular direction. I just wanted to take a little bit of a break from all the politics and the democracy that is a band and just sort of do my own thing for a little bit. There will be a lot of stuff I don't have the freedom to do in a band situation."

Slash plans to use different singers for each of the album's songs but isn't divulging who's on the list yet. "They're all sort of well-known singers," he says. "It's sort of like how I go play on a lot of other people's records, so other people will just play on this one."

Mos Def has an album aimed for Feb

Mos Def will release his Downtown debut, "The Ecstatic," on Feb. 9, Billboard.com can reveal. The first single, "Life in Marvelous Times," will hit iTunes as an exclusive on Nov. 4.

The veteran rapper's last album, "Tru3 Magic," barely made a ripple upon its late 2006 release via Geffen and has sold just 93,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Its predecessor, 2004's "The New Danger," has sold 484,000.

Mos Def will be on the road starting Oct. 31 in Prague with the European installment of the Rock the Bells tour, alongside Nas, De La Soul, EPMD and the Pharcyde, among others.

On the acting front, the artist plays Chuck Berry in the film "Cadillac Records," due Dec. 5 in U.S. theaters.

Oprah got a lawsuit on her hands

Ahh Damn…Oprah Winfrey is being sued by a Louisiana man who is claiming that she and her attorney made alse statements that led the FBI to arrest him on charges that he tried to extort the talk-show host. Keifer Bonivillain was arrested in 2006 after he allegedly recorded telephone conversations with an employee of Winfrey’s production company and told a company associate he wanted to publish a book based on the recordings. The FBI said he claimed to have offers from publishers and tabloids ranging from $500,000 to $3 million. Bonvillian charges were dismissed with a condition that he perform 50 hours of community service, but now he is seeking damages of $180 million from Winfrey, her attorney and the FBI in the federal lawsuit filed Tuesday.

“There was substantial damage done to my name and reputation on a world level,” he wrote. “The extent of my damages is vast.” Chip Babcock, a lawyer for Winfrey’s Harpo Productions, denied the allegations in Bonvillain’s suit.

“And we know that this whole episode started when the plaintiff wiretapped a Harpo employee in California,” he said. “We advised (Bonvillain) that we believe that wiretapping was illegal, and this case will give us an opportunity to determine whether we were right about that.”

Lyfe Jennings brush with the law

R&B singer/songwriter Lyfe Jennings was arrested Sunday on gun charges in Smyrna. Supposedly this dude was trying to locate the mother of his children, police said. Jennings, 30, whose real name is Chester Jennings, kicked in the door of a residence on Springwoods Drive in Smyrna while looking for Joy Bounds (his baby momm and former manager), according to an arrest warrant. A bit Psycho don’t you think?! He fired the gun in the street and later tried to run from the Smyrna police when they arrived, police said. A chase ensued and Jennings ended up crashing his Vette. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test. He posted a $50,000 bond Monday night. Lyfe was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson. Ummmm…so much for this dude’s positive appeal. I thought he turned his LYFE around!???

The Buddy Holly Story star who claims he's been sober for years admits he went cuckoo for canine after his dog rolled in the priceless china white.

"I went in like a crop-duster with my nose flying first and snorted the cocaine off the dog," Busey said in a recent interview.

But Busey got more than coke up his nose as he snorted dog stuff up as well.
"You get a little bugs, you get little hairs, you get grease and goo from the ground; it's not at all a healthy thing to do.

"But when you're an addict, you don't think of health, you think about destruction of yourself unconsciously."
