50 Cent's new reality show... uh oh! 50! 50! 50!

50 Cent will be xposing his entrepreneurial skills in his new show called The Money and the Power which premieres next month on MTV.

The show will feature 14 aspiring moguls living together in a Brooklyn warehouse dubbed “Camp Curtis.” From there, the contestants must work together through a myriad of innovative challenges in hopes of honing their business acumen.

Each week, 50 will eliminate a contestant based on how much knowledge they retained from the previous challenge.

Viewers will also get to see the contestants interact with other music stars, as special appearances from LL Cool J, Aubry O’Day of Danity Kane, Lloyd Banks, and blogger Miss Info are highlights of the series.

50’s right hand man Tony Yayo will serve as the show’s “Underboss,” making sure the show’s contestants remain in line and focused the tasks at hand.

Even with the television’s wide variety of reality shows, 50 is confident that his show transcend most shows and illuminate the hard work and sacrifice required to make in it the music business.

“If it was just my image, I wouldn’t have made this much money,” 50 stated bluntly of his business acumen and taste.

The show’s winner, who according to G-Unit head must possess the best combination of “business flair, strength, ambition, and fearlessness,” will be awarded a grand prize of $100,000 and assistance from 50 to help pursue their music dreams.

The show reveals another piece of 50’s planned media blitz in preparation for his fourth studio album and DVD Before I Self-Destruct, set for release on December 9.

50 Cent’s The Money and the Power debuts November 6 at 10:00 PM. Will you be tuning in?

50's new album to feature Eminem & Dr. Dre

Mariel Concepcion, N.Y.

50 Cent's new album will boast production and guest turns from mentors Dr. Dre and Eminem. As previously reported, "Before I Self Destruct" is due Dec. 9 via Shady/Aftermath/Interscope. Producer Scott Storch helmed first single "Get Up."

The package will also include a 90-minute, feature-length movie about an inner city boy named Clarence who sets to avenge the death of his mother. 50 Cent wrote, directed and starred in the film, the trailer for which can be viewed here.

"My film captures the harsh realities that reflect so many communities today," 50 Cent says statement. "There will be some who will greatly identify with the characters and the situations presented and then there will be others who may be shocked at the struggles that go on in the inner city. I made the film for both groups."

As previously reported, it appeared to be that much like last year, 50 Cent and Kanye West would battle it out for marketplace domination, as both announced they would release albums only a week apart in December. But West bumped up "808s & Heartbreak" from Dec. 9 to Nov. 25 after finishing it ahead of schedule.

Last September, both men released new albums on Sept. 11, with West's "Graduation" outselling 50's "Curtis" 957,000 to 691,000.

Kim Osorio... seems like she left out just a little bit of this & that...

Kim Osorio is trippin..First she puts out a Tell All Book outlining the environment present at the Source Magazine siting that employees often watched pornographic movies and hung pictures of females in G-strings, smoked pot and called women bitches. She also claimed that rumors constantly were made detailing untrue stories of her being sexually involved with industry artists. Now the former editor-in-chief of Source magazine claims that she has crossed the line of professionalism in her new book “Straight from the Source,” admitting that she slept with a number of hip hop stars, according to the Daily News. She said her stint with Nas soured when “it was no longer acceptable to communicate via text messages.” She also says she got down with 50 Cent - despite calling him a “greasy convict” in the book. “He gave me the attention I needed,” the former editor writes. “Put your imagination to use.”

50 Cent says Lil' Wayne was in his Candy Shop

Soooo…50 Cent is really feelin’ some type of way about rappers rippin’ him off. In an interview with Rollingstone, 50 said that rappers like Lil Wayne stole his style to create their own hit song. He said, for example, Lil Wayne bit his Lollipop line…“‘Lollipop’ is ‘lick lick lick lick it like a lollipop,’” 50 told Rolling Stone, continuing “And ‘Candy Shop’ is ‘I’ll take you to the Candy Shop/ I’ll let you lick the lollipop.’”

50 says that he is coming out with his solo project “Before I Self Destruct” later this year. He revealed that he doesn’t have to listen to whats out there to create a hit song. “I’m not really listening to anyone else’s records,” 50 said. “I’m in another space where I gotta make what I’m excited about.” “[Other rappers] can take what I’ve done for the last five years and do their version of it and be successful with momentum,” he added. “Meanwhile, I have to reinvent the wheel.”

50 Cent gets to see his son on a regular basis good for him

50 Cent finally won the custody battle to see his son on a regulary basis. A Long Island Judge ruled on Monday that 50 will get to see his 11 year old son, Marquise, every other weekend until an October 22 custody trial in a Suffolk County Family Court. When asked if he was going change his lifestyle before his next court date, He suggested he has no plans to do so. “I’m going to hang out with some (women),” said the rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. “Make some music, make some movies, and continue to kick it.”

His ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, agreed to drop off the boy every other Friday night at a police precinct in Queens, where Fitty’s mom or driver will pick him up. She won an order of protection against the rapper. “He didn’t want people to know how violent he is,” Tompkins said. Tompkins accused 50 of being violent and burning the house he bought her down, but he denied the charge and slapped her with a defamation suit.

Vibe don't like white people! Well just Eminem

“When I did a recent interview with Vibe Magazine I asked, ‘Why can’t I get the cover? This is a magazine I love. If there’s one magazine that I’d want to be on the cover of, it’s Vibe,” Thicke told Billboard. “Their response was they don’t have white artists on the cover; that the only white artist they’ve had on the cover was Eminem. I guess if that’s what it is, it is what it is.”

“I respect that because I live in a house with a black woman. I won’t use the word racism. I will say it’s a tough — but rewarding — fight.”
Danyel Smith, Vibe vice president, responded to Thicke’s comments, but didn’t deny them either:

“We have a great deal of respect for Robin Thicke and his music, and we remain flattered by his desire to be on a Vibe cover,” said Smith. “A Vibe cover is a huge milestone in any artist’s career. Recent cover stars include Young Jeezy, Mariah Carey, 50 Cent, Usher, Senator Barack Obama, Eminem, Lil Wayne, and Robert De Niro, to say nothing of our 15-year history. We wish Thicke the best, and were glad he discusses his thoughts on race and R&B in the new October 2008 issue of Vibe.”

Hip Hop Cash Kings for Forbes: Diddy, 50, and SC

Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Diddy tops Forbes “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” list for the 2nd year. Last year Jay-Z was topping the list, but this year there’s a new king. 50 Cent usurped Jay-Z as the top earner with $150 million grossed in the last year. What did it for 50 Cent was his stake in Vitamin Water’s parent company Glaceau which was bought by Coca Cola for $4.1 Billion. 50 Cent’s investments also include video games, G-Unit clothing/records, and a pending partnership in South Africa with billionaire mining baron Patrice Motsepe. GO BOY! Jay-Z takes the number 2 slot generating $82 Million in earnings. Bad Boy CEO Sean “Diddy” Combs generated $35 million in revenue behind the success of premium vodka Ciroc, the Sean John clothing line, and Bad Boy releases from Danity Kane and Day26. Completing the top 10 on the list are Kanye West, Timbaland, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beatz, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Ludacris.
